I want to be clear—I am not a therapist. But over the past 24 years, I’ve walked the path of healing through therapy, journaling, self-help practices, and my faith. These tools transformed my life, and I created this course so you can begin your own journey to lasting healing today.

My Journey to Healing
Before I became a best-selling author, an adjunct professor, and the founder of Remove Your Shadow™, I was a little girl who endured abuse. That pain eventually led me into foster care, where I spent nearly four years of my life. Those years were filled with fear, instability, and a deep loneliness I carried for a long time.
But I refused to let my childhood define me. Through journaling, I found a way to survive. Writing became my safe space—the place where I could release the pain, begin to understand myself, and slowly transform my suffering into strength. Over time, it helped me forgive, rebuild my identity, and envision a future filled with hope and purpose.
I am not a therapist—I am a survivor. I know the weight of trauma—but I also know the power of healing. Journaling helped me reclaim my voice, my life, and my joy. Along the way, I invited God into my journey, and His guidance brought peace, restoration, and renewed strength.
